10 SummerSlam 1992: Bret Hart Vs. The British Bulldog
For the ones who love wrestling, think of this moment as the greatest of all time, especially for British fans as per the victory of British Bulldog. This is one of the second biggest events of all time in WWE, with the capacity of 80,355 people in the crowd. This match of all matches stands to have a true reflection of proper skills of wrestling, and storytelling as well.
With this there was also Diana Hart present at the ringside, as well as Lennox Lewis who is the boxing superstar who had accompanied Bulldog. Bret Hart accepted the defeat and had the crowd go back with happiness; it is regarded as one of the best SummerSlam match. But the credit goes to Bret Hart who had lost Intercontinental Belt as he begun the main part of his career, he knows the sport very well and has done the best for the business.
9 The Birth of WrestleMania
With the first appearance of WrestleMania in 1985 it was a huge sensation. With that said the crowd was the largest of all with the presence of Liberace, Cyndi Lauper, Muhammad Ali, and Mr. T, so it was quite star-studded. WWE had never been the same anymore, with the debut theme of rock and wrestling.
There were many competitors like Hulk Hogan for sure, Ricky Steamboat, Junkyard Dog, King Kong Bundy, Wendi Richter, and Nikolia Volkoff. Along with guest referee as Muhammad Ali, there was also Mene Gene Okerland who sang the National Anthem. This debut of WrestleMania, not only was helpful in the launch of Hulkmania and WWE but with that it played an important role with Madison Square Garden in relation to Wrestling.
8 The Return of the Grey Undertaker at WrestleMania XIII
Some may not agree with this being in the list, but it is quite a moment. In the beginning he wasn’t much involved in the title, as now enjoying success being the company’s champion. In 1991 he defeated Hulk Hogan with the help from Ric Flair which was only there for six days.
But this helped him in moving forward, but as he focused on PPVs for the coming years and months he couldn’t have won this title until the WrestleMania XIII which was almost after six years, which is quite an accomplishment in such a long span. He was assigned with number 13, and finally received popularity in the world of wrestling which he would hold upon until the next belt of SummerSlam in that year.
7 The Arrival of Rocky Maivia at the 1996 Survivor Series
It is a huge privilege for those older fans to say that they were present when such a phenomenon had begun. Here the fresh faced entered the world of wresting Dwayne Johnson whom we all now know as The Rock, who has a huge fan following now being The Rock as earlier in the beginning of his career having a stone cold fans who didn’t like him.
He had debuted in the year 1996 in the Survivor series ad Rocky Maivia which he took after his father and grandfather. So after this not working much in his favor he took a change in his career path and from Rocky became The Rock. In his Wrestlemania XV the favorite part is the encounter with stone cold, with this he was recognizing his talents and became a face.
6 Goldberg Squashes Brock in 57 seconds
From the past 3 years there was a lot invested with Brock Lesnar in WWE, he was undefeatable, whether it is WrestleMania 30 or defeating John Cena which was at SummerSlam PPV, with this the list kept on going, having all superstar being defeated by him.
Then Goldberg came back to the WWE after about 12 years of absence, the fans couldn’t hold the excitement of having him and cheered him like in the old days, but he wasn’t going to have a fight with Brock and destroy the most prized possession of WWE. But at the PPV Goldberg squashed Brock’s ribs along with two spears that were devastating, and with this there was also a Jackhammer as well as the pin. This was one of the most shocking moments in the world of wrestling.
5 Owen Hart falls to death in front of thousands of fans
This was one of the craziest, terrifying moment of all, which took place in the year 1999, where as a part of a plan for his entrance Owen Hart was to descend down the ring like the Blue Blazer which went horribly wrong as he had fallen on the rafters that is inside ring. It was a like war against WCW and WWE which happened during the late nineties. Paul Heyman who runs ECW took a step further this time with is hardcore way of wrestling, making it a shocking moment. Kurt Angle being present who is a Olympic Gold Medalist was also terrorized with this moment of ECW original, where Sandman was brought down by Raven during the segment.
Fans couldn’t take this and left the arena with disgust, and words pouring out. Kurt Angle also gave the threat to file a lawsuit for this promotion, and so Heyman apologized for this incident that had happened.

In the late nineties there was a time when WWE went out of business because of Ted Turner’s WCW. WWE were asked to bring about some change in the product, and instead of targeting children were asked to target adult audience rather which was forced by the popularity of fans of WCW. This move made it better and was successful, which got its viewers back again with some time passing.
WCW got in the verge of bankruptcy and didn’t have any ideas on how to follow through in the early 2001. McMohan announced to the audience that the fate and destiny of the WCW was now in his hand, which was a nightmare for all the fans, this was announced before WrestleMania, this started a new era for WWE.
2 The Montreal Screw job
Bert Hart got a huge contract of multimillion from WCW so after his final match that was at Survival Series he had planned to leave WWE, in 1997, which was held in Canada, his home country.
He had requested Vince McMohan to let him have the win and that for this he would surrender for the next match on Raw, to this McMohan had agreed. The match was screwed up and also the title of WWE for Bert Hart as he was defeated by Shawn Michaels by Hart’s signature moves and thus Earl Hebner requested for bell.
1 The DX invades WCW
With the competition between WCW and WWE both were doing their best, where WCW also started sharing the results of WWE Raw and this results were not even yet announced on Tele-Vision.
On top of this the WWE DX who has a great popularity among fans took it way too far by invading the event held by WCW, not only this but they used a tank along with a microphone to throw insults to everyone there, these led to a whole new scenario in the arena.
